A new 2.4km 7.3m wide single carriageway road linking the Bexhill to Hastings Link Road with the A269. The road includes three roundabouts and a bridge over the Coombe Haven.
NBAR provides traffic congestion relief to Sidley High Street and opens up sites for residential and commercial development in North Bexhill meeting Local Plan allocations.
GTA Civils & Transport conducted a Transport Assessment necessary to obtain detailed planning permission and assessed the SATURN modelling outputs for the wider highway network for the proposed NBAR.
GTA also undertook a series of junction assessments, modelling the impacts of the proposal in the year of opening and at the end of the plan period (2028).
The road is currently being constructed and will be adopted under a Section 38 Agreement.
